We would like to introduce you to a pouch made using Shuri textiles, which are made using traditional hand-weaving techniques in Okinawa.

The fabric is made from natural cotton thread, which is comfortable and breathable, yet is tightly woven for everyday use such as coasters and placemats, making it extremely comfortable to wear. The unique texture and weave, which can only be achieved by artisanal craftsmanship, give the pouch a warm feel.

The fabric is woven using the Doton weaving technique (also known as Lawton weaving), which was designated for the royal family and samurai class during the Ryukyu Dynasty and was once used for official men's clothing.Both the front and back are warp-floating weaves (the vertical threads are floating), making it a fabric that can be used on both sides.

We also ask artisans in Kyoto to make the clasp and stitch the purse. We are extremely grateful for their help in matching the patterns, sewing, and processing the clasp.

The pouch designs have a nostalgic feel that doesn't fade over time, but they are easy to wear for any occasion. The colors are available in a variety of shades, from bright tones to muted tones .

The pouch measures 20.5cm wide x 12cm high x 9cm deep, making it a relatively compact size, yet still has ample space to store small items, cosmetics, a smartphone, a wallet, and more. It's perfect for a variety of uses when traveling or going out. The inside of the pouch is lined with a relatively stain-resistant polyester material, making it a sturdy piece.
